Database Administrator (DBA) Required In Shuwaikh. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) proficient in both Oracle and SQL Server to join our dynamic team. As a DBA, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our database systems to ensure their reliability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Database Administration:
– Install, configure, and maintain Oracle and SQL Server database systems.
– Create and manage databases, tables, and schemas.
– Implement database security measures to safeguard data integrity.
2. Performance Tuning:
– Monitor and analyze database performance and proactively optimize for efficiency.
– Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, queries, and indexing issues.
3. Backup and Recovery:
– Develop and execute backup and recovery plans to ensure data availability and minimize downtime.
– Test and validate backup and recovery procedures.
4. Database Security:
– Implement and enforce security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data.
– Ensure databases are compliant with relevant regulations and best practices.
5. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
– Diagnose and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
– Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot application-database interactions.
6. High Availability:
– Configure and manage database replication, clustering, and failover solutions.
– Plan for and execute disaster recovery procedures.
7. Database Design and Development:
– Collaborate with application developers to design and optimize database structures.
– Create and modify database objects as needed for new projects.
8. Documentation:
– Maintain thorough and up-to-date documentation of database configurations and processes.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– Proven experience as a DBA with expertise in Oracle and SQL Server.
– Strong knowledge of database architecture, design, and best practices.
– Familiarity with database tools and technologies.
– Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
– Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator).
